also while I am shamelessly self promoting things I shot - go watch Hotbox on the comedy network online. one of my favorite episodes (ep 3) is online now - for some reason the link goes to ep 1 - make sure you watch 3 ...i like it better! . there are some super funny sketches - home shopping, foley artists, howdy do that... making that show was super fun times
Went to Vancouver a few weeks ago for the 1st time since moving - got to see some of my favourite people and as an added bonus won a Leo Award for Best Cinematography in a short film for Jesse McKeown's short "Paul Pontius" - hells ya...good trip
So the Tv series that I was shooting all fall is finally going to be on the air next tuesday June 2nd at 10pm (eastern time) on The Comedy Network - check it out if you have tvs.
still so excited for "where the wild things are" to come out....i dont want to see anything else about it beforehand but now that Spike Jonze has a blog its damn hard to ignore! oh and he says that the film Ratcatcher was an inspiration when making the film - of course...that film inspires me all the time!
found an old box of photos from when i was a kid at my dads place. I had a serious grade 8 crush on this guy - I listened to Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here" on repeat and he would come over and hang out in my basement. By the time summer ended and we went into grade 9 he stopped calling me and went out with the experienced girl who dated everyone (thats me being nice)...dont remember the story behind the other one, but I like it...cant do that with digital.
shot this spot a bit ago. i like watching all the youtubers bash it. It was a fun shoot though and it was edited all live on set which was pretty awesome.
my camera hasnt really been working for the last while, i think its time for its retirement...sadly i havent been taking many photos as a result. here is a cell phone shot
by bawds Niall and Jeremy put up an artshow a while back and I put together this little video with scary music by our friend Josh Duff (actually featured in the old photo below) and his band Count Vesuvius . this was a sculptural piece by Niall. You can check out more photos of the show on their websites.
as Christmas approaches and I spend it in my quasi home, much different than my last few years of christmas at the Kumars, which I very much grew to love, I wonder what it will be like. I think i am happy to spend it just chilling with my brother
probably hanging out, doing nothing much. Watching some tv and lots of basketball. something like this with a lot less cuddling (my mom used to take some beautiful b&w shots of us as kids):
speaking of brothers, my friend A.J. made this movie in September for the talent lab at the Toronto Film festival and I think its great:
Mike and Jane got married this fall inside a giant ukrainian easter egg. This picture looks like a painting to me
